I need a few quotes, as it would be silly to just get one, no matter how good the reports are, that does not mean I will go for the cheapest, I am not that type of person, but end of the day I cant just accept one quote as that would be a little mad

You say that you "can't just accept one quote".

But surely you are only going to accept just ONE quote!

You need a good local installer. Knock on your neighbour's doors and ask them for recomendations on who to call and more importantly who NOT to call !

But not knowing the local trades there, I would be silly to have just one surely....

I am looking at local forums now, to see if I can find anything, as I think thats a quality idea.

If you dont have the opportunity or skill to assess the installer then his quote is going to be totally irrelevant.

A high price does not necessarily mean a good quality installation.

Multiple local good feedback is the best thing but even that needs to be considered carefully.

Mr Clutch has a lot of negative feedback!

Almost all of their good feedback is just for simple jobs like replacing a clutch cable.

Take out the simple jobs and the complaints about clutch plate replacement are very high indeed!

Log onto Which Local for Northampton - they usually have unbiased reviews from customers who have had work done. I had a few that I didn't even know about, does bring in extra work for me.
