I have been asked to put in a simple step to a front door. Trouble is there is an airbrick (one of many on that wall) right where the step will be. Do I have to put a new one in somewhere else or can I just build over it, given that its not the only one nearby? Am waiting for a call from BCO but have been waiting a long time, so I thought I'd raise it here too.

Do air bricks go through justy the outer skin or do they span to the inner one too?

You can extend the air-brick to the front edge using ducting

agree with masona. either duct it forward or install a replacement near by. don't just block it off.

nifty. You mean you can get a plastic, 3" high duct to link my new one in the front of the step to the old one?

Yes, here

If you don't want an air brick on the front showing then put 1 on each side of the step like a T ducting
