Anyone know anything about air con, I have a citroen xsara and when I turn on my a/c the power light comes on and the rev's dip but no difference in air temp? any help appreciated

Sounds like it needs Re-Gassed.

Re-gassing is cheap but it's possible the compressor has failed in which case it's expensive if you can't find a 2nd hand one. If the revs change I would guess it needs re-gassing.
If the engine revs drop then it sounds like the compressor is working.
You can buy a re-gassing kit from halfords and do it yourself.
If it wont hold the gas, then there is probably a leak somewhere. Most common leak places are where the aluminium pipes are clamped back to the car body as they vibrate and wear through the pipes.
