air con

Hi all,

i have a 99 BMW compact sport and the air con does not seem to work.
i've had the car for over a year now and it has never worked.

When i press the button it lights up but the blowers only blow normal air temp through the vents.

Is there any procedure i could carry out to try and rectify it or should i get it checked out by a specialist?

It could simply need regassing, but you will need to get it checked for leaks anyway. The longer you leave it, the more costly it can become because the seals will start to dry out. It would be cheaper to take it to an aircon specialist rather than a main dealer.

I paid £60 to have my Passatt regassed to give you some idea.
