I have a Ford Focus Zetec 1600 reg 2000 and has 69000 miles on Clock

Noticed to day that even with the blower on cold and the air con on it blew out hot air , I only drove it about 1 mile, but thought the air con would have kicked in .Has anyone else experenced this or should I have allowed more time for the air con to kick in

On a day like this? Mine would need at least that amount of time.
I tend to wind the windows down so fresh air and 'wash' away the hot air, put the air con on, then when the air coming out the blowers starts to cool a little i close all the windows, and it then gets cold fairly soon aftr that.

I can feel cold air from mine within 10 seconds. It won't cool the car after only one mile but I can definately tell that it's on.

put the blowers on min, and click the air con on. Can you hear a click and whossh from under the bonnet?

All depends if it climate control or not that you have for speed of temprature changes.

if it takes a long time to blow cold, then possibly you are short of gas, once the systems are down below half charge you will really notice a drop in performance, more so on a hot day, expect cold air after a few seconds, even on a hot day.

That's less than a fifth of the price of your link.

Yes but they're an unknown brand not Energizer, Duracell or GP.

And these are cheaper still http://www.****.co.uk/cr2025batteries.html

I don't really see your point?

I didn't bother doing any great research, that was the first example I came across. My point was that I don't see why you feel the need to advertise a site that isn't such a big deal. But if you want to compare the price of top brands; this was also the first example. Oh and who's going to go to the U.S. to get cheap batteries? Nuff said!

... reg 2000 ...
you can reasonably expect it to have the odd leak by now. If you are lucky it will just need recharging. But even a small leak will mean it needs doing again next summer, and the next ...

I keep my car very clean under the bonnet so leaks show up as green stain. When I take it in I ask the a/c to inspect for leaks and fix before regassing. Mostly it is just a seal.

My BiL claims that once you have opened up a refrigeration or a/c system to repair it, it will never again be as good as when it left the factory. They are supposed to put the vacuum pump on it all day to get the moisture out, but never do.
