Hi Could any one help me.. my central heating system was working fin until I removed two radiators in order to decorate. I have done this many times before. However, this time I have lost all my heating and hot water. I have bled every valve I can find. It feels like there is no water any where so bleeding is useless. I must be doing some thing silly but I am at a loss. Its not a closed system. Any advise would ne gratefully appreciated .Thanks

Wilhelm doesn't like bungalows....I think we scared off the last bungalow dwelling poster  .

Look to see if there is a manual vent point on the flow pipe into the hot water cylinder. Otherwise search on air locks on this forum. Lots of threads...

yep. ive wasted to much time grovelling around bungalow roof spaces looking for bleed points.. . i now just cut a pipe, bang a compression fitting in and bleed from it.

i hate bungalows....

No I dont live in a bungalow. I am in a mid terrace two storey town house please help if you can

long shot but have encountered this once before: all the sediment etc in bottom of feed and expansion tank was drawn in to the feed pipe and blocked it preventing system refilling! You should have been able to hear water filling the system if you didnt this might be your culprit

If it is this try using a small drain auger down the feed pipe (failing that a metal coat hanger) to break up any blockage if it works you'll need to flush the system later to get everything out of the system. Like i said I've only seen it once the only way to be sure is to cut the pipe so obvously you dont want to be doing unnessary work, so, drain the system down again and see if the level in the f&e drops down if it does drop then this aint your problem
