Hi all

I've nearly finished laying pipework for new heating throughout my house and want to dry pressure test it. I've got a Monument Dry Pressure Test Kit, but it's not much of a kit. It's just the a gauge.

I've heard that I can use a foot pump to pump air into the system and test it but is it a special kind of foot pump? I'm concerned that if I just borrow a camping one it's nozzle won't form the requisite seal on the pipe to test pressure accurately.

All tips and knowledge greatly appreciated
Helen

You will need a powered compressor unless you fancy waiting days for the monument to pump it up. A foot or hand pump will work, but again will take a while.

Fittings are easy enough to rig up as compressor tools use a standard thread.

Here's my rig...

Nice little ad in the background from that headed notepaper Dan, just in case someone can't find your details by looking at your profile, eh? ;)
