Hello

We had our cavity wall insulated about 2 years ago and because we had a back boiler then we had to have a vent fitted through the external wall for carbon monoxide reasons. However we have now had the boiler removed and a condenser fitted. Do we still need this vent or can it be blocked up?

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section.

Thanks

Phil

IF the back boiler & fire is completely properly disconnected and there are no other gas appliances in the room then yes you can, but please be careful that you are sure of the scenario before you block up a vent, sorry to be the merchant of doom but it is vital that you do not compromise your familys safety

Thanks for your reply. I understand what your saying, thanks for your help. We may contact the insulation co just to be 100% sure.
