Alarm base for wireless PIR Sensor

Hello,
I want to make a DIY intruder alarm having i) PIR sensor 2) Alarm base having gprs module which uses 3G to send message when sensor detects a moment. PIR sensor I can buy for £20 from market but what Alarm base (which make/chipset) can I use which is available to buy from market or a retail/chipset shop (may be DSC or Arduino socket or something else)?

What do you think these guys use for alarm base?
