Alarm going off when armed

We have an ADT 9448+ alarm made by Scantronic.
I took the PIR off the wall to do a renovation and it has been happily hanging during the works. Now that it is done I put it back on the wall and everytime we arm the alarm it goes off with reference to the zone where I removed the PIR. The wires are connected properly. The LEDs are on. Is it time for a new PIR?

Surprised at that as its a twin quad pir , the only thing I would say , I think it had a small cover over the twin sensors behind the front cover ,is it missing ?
