Alarm wire future proofing with network cable?

Hi folks,

While I have the floors up I'm starting to think about fitting my wired alarm.
Is there any point in running network cable along with the alarm cable? Is there a prospect that future alarm systems will have ip based accessories?

From the router to the control panel and any external / internal cameras

So worth doing for the alarm then. The cameras are through the eves so not so difficult to get at in future as downstairs alarm sensors and keypads etc.
