Which CCTV and alarm systems, if any, aren’t made in China? Are any made in Britain?

to some degree probably the question is what where and how much.

You would have to ask the manufacturers very specific questions about each of the products in their range.

For example components may come from China even if the pcb does not,

Texecom, Orisec have UK manufacturing facilities for certain, not sure of current status of many of the others because it’s always changing.

As for cctv not sure where things are at with country of origin of finished goods but hik and dahua are Chinese and rebadge to other brands.

So might be easier if you are keen on a particular thing to look at it more deeply as to country of origin.

Why are you asking ? Most things are Chinese because most people don’t want to pay more for products …then moan later about it …

I prefer to buy British if possible.

Also, I’d hate for President Xi to watch my CCTV—imagine the international incident if he saw me mowing the lawn :)

Is all pyronix stuff back in Rotherham?

Seem to recall a period where some went to China after the hikvision take over?

Can’t fault my Pyronix rep currently the best rep O deal with by a country mile.

I heard that Viper makes cameras not in China, but I’m unfamiliar with Viper. Does anyone happen to know?

Videcon - Concept Pro cameras are British I beleive. That’s what we install in our MOD and Police sites as restrictions on Chinese equipment in there
