Aldi DAB "site" radio

Not used that one, but it's DAB - therefore the sound quality will be crap.
Doesn't matter how much it costs or who makes it either - DAB transmissions in the UK use some ancient outdated codec from a couple of decades ago and almost all stations use the lowest bitrate possible. Some are even in mono.
 
4 AA batteries and "5 watt" output? I'm sceptical how long the batteries will last or how accurate that output figure is. Unless they mean 250 mW PMPO into a 5 watt speaker ...

I'm not very clued up on audio stuff, but I think it would be a 5w speaker?

I have an old sony FM radio (great sound!) that is mains powered or 4 x AA, and it says 4w on the bottom of it
