I have just changed myinterior stop tap for a new 22mm compression stop tap.
The mains pipe is approx 21-21.5mm black alkathene. O.D.
I think it is grade D, heavy duty, because the I.D. is only approx 11-1
2mm. I have used 3/4 olive, which was a perfect fit on the alkathene,
and thereis noleaks, I have seen it mentioned fit asmall piece of 15mm copper as an insert, but there is no chance, as you can see from the I.D.
I just feel a bit uneasy about a lack of insert in the long term.
I would appreciate your views and advice, thanks
