Hi

I had a new bath fitted yesterday by a plumber. Obviously we shut off the water supply at the stop tap while doing the job. Once installed I turned the supply back on.

Ever since doing so, both toilets in the house (on different floors) are continuously running. It's not gushing or anything but there's just a continuous trickle into the bowl. This only stops once I close off the water supply inlet on the toilet.

I've tried turning the main stop tap back a bit as I thought I might have opened it a bit far when turning the water back on. I've also drained the two toilets and refilled them. Nothing has changed. Both continue to trickle.

Any idea what would be causing this and how I could fix it?

sounds like the toilets are either overflowing because the ball/float valve has stuck or the flush valves are leaking. Have you tried lifting the lids of the cisterns to see what's going on?

Could be a bit of grit stuck in the valves caused by the water being turned off.
