Alternatives to a skip?

We had the same issue, loads of rubble and a big concrete blob heavier than me. In the end one of those man with been and rubbish disposal did the trick. Similar cost to a skip but they load from the garden in double quick time.
We did get s much cheaper quote first but when they arrived they loaded half (non English speaking and with their bare hands!!) then called their boss who decided to double the price, so I argued and they put it all back again.

Just had 2 loads from a grab lorry taken today and yesterday. Took 32 T approx. Cost £340. Would have been 4 skips at £200 each and i would have had to load the things up. You need space to place all the rubbish though and the lorry needs access.
