am i mixing right

hi guys i have a small area to plaster and i have some left over multi finish which was opened about 2 months ago...i mixed a batch today but it keeps going hard after about 10 minute in the bucket....i think i know how to mix as you put pour the multi finish into the water and mix until it becomes workable..so what am i doing wrong....? could the plaster be off?
advice please...cheers in advance!

yes, this is just one of the things that can happen if not fresh

Yup it's gone; new bag from B&Q for well less than a fiver; or if your feeling flush, go to your local branch of one of the National Builders Merchants who will probably relieve you of a couple of quid more for a bag that could be nearly as unusable after all the rain wevbe had recently!
