I'm trying to work out if I can connect a Bluetooth Mic to this?

Stuff on tinterweb suggests not, but, if you can connect a phone via BT why not a mic? After all they are both devices that generate audio.

Has anyone ever tried?

Need a simple PA set up for a birthday party.

Hi,

As you say, I think the simplest solution may be to utilise your smartphone As the microphone.
Once you have the Bluetooth audio link connected to the phone, you could try and use a 'microphone to speaker' app.
Some examples here:
(Although some of these apps appear to be quite old; some further investigation may be necessary!)

I hope that gives you some ideas! :)

...although Bluetooth audio isn't always the best quality, and there may also be delay, or feedback issues to contend with.

Say "Alexa drop in on xxx" where xxx is the name of the Alexa you want to drop in on. Then it will be like a two way radio between the two.

Thanks. That's not quite what I need. Two way speech, I mean.

I will try linking a phone's mic and see how that works.

volume up on the receiver - volume down on the sender (same thing).
