Amcor dehumidifier acticng strange

I have had this for nearly 5 years from B and Q but of late it has started to make repeated clicking/ticking noises as well as going into occasional spasms of shaking and knocking.

has anyone else had this problem, and if so, can anything be done?

strip it down & clean the fan.

We had one. On the back are a few screws. Remove these and the top and/or back will come off. The fan will be accessible. While its open, clean the cooling fins and the heating fins and hoover them out thoroughly. Spray some antibacteral solution onto the cooling fins, as they are constantly damp and can be a source of bacterial growth. I cant remember the innards of ours, but beware some cooling and heating fins can be VERY sharp, and also fragile - dont go near them with sharp objects or screwdrivers or you risk loosing all the refrigerant.

Gave it all a good clean as it was very dusty. Still no change I'm afraid. The annoying thing is I have contacted Amcor a few times with no response.
