American 2000lb bombs to commit mass slaughter

It was probably the unintended effects of European diseases that caused their decline.
Same thing happened in America, the common cold wiped out most of the Eskimo population.
So not really genocide in the strict sense of the word.
The first settlers in Tasmania took prime farm land from Aboriginals without a qualm or conscience: they had a piece of paper saying it was their's, completely disregarding the native inheritance of the land from their ancestors for thousands of years. When the Aborigines fought back in the early 19th century it led to bitter battles over decades before the Australian government sent in the army to sort it out once and for all. The Aborigines were banished to the forest and given a piece of paper saying it was theirs. So that's all right then.
Nothing to do with the British government.

More genocide.

"By 1833, George Augustus Robinson, sponsored by Lieutenant-Governor George Arthur, had persuaded the approximately 200 surviving Aboriginal Tasmanians to surrender themselves with assurances that they would be protected and provided for, and eventually have their lands returned. These assurances were no more than a ruse by Robinson or Lieutenant-Governor Arthur to transport the Tasmanians quietly to a permanent exile in the Furneaux Islands.[19] The survivors were moved to Wybalenna Aboriginal Establishment on Flinders Island, where disease continued to reduce their numbers. In 1847, the last 47 survivors on Wybalenna were transferred to Oyster Cove, south of Hobart. Two individuals, Truganini (1812–1876) and Fanny Cochrane Smith (1834–1905), are separately considered to have been the last people solely of Tasmanian descent.[e][f]"

Most of these deaths in Palestine are caused by bombing from the air.
Aerial bombing is one of the most cowardly forms of warfare, the problem is that you can't win a war by bombing alone.
It didn't work in Vietnam or Korea and it won't work in Palestine either.
If and when the tables are turned and its the Israelis who are on the receiving end, will your attitude still be the same.

As I said I don't care for the war on either side.

Hama's had the choice not to mess with Israel, but they did, they were warned time and again not to

If the tables were turned I'd be saying exactly the same.

They need to sit and agree a peace deal.

At the end of the day it's all about religion, the only reason they havnt agreed is the Muslim Palestinian will not agree terms with Jews and vice versa.

Politicians et al love a good war as it feels the coughers

Yes attitude would be the same if the other way round.

Hama's were warned, they didn't need to do what they did, them and their people are now reaping the benefits of what they sowed.

I don't care for the war on either side as stated. It's all tondo with religion and Thier ability to live with one another as fellow humans, at some point they need to decide if it's really worth the death and destruction.

If the Israeli's commit genocide then they are any better than the Germans that killed millions of them in ww2, that would be a heck of a cross to bear for the Jews, do they really want to be compared to 3rd Reich in the same breath?

Okay - but the Maori tribes had a much better outcome, despite being governed by Britain. Why was this?
If a genocidal policy had been adopted by the British government then their fate would've been the same.

You may as well include the American governments attitude to Native American tribes, in that case.

It's too simple to apportion blame from a 21st century perspective. The 'Black War' was about owning the land, as already stated.

Conveniently ignoring what has happened previously.

Provocation anyone ?

The aspect that some wish to ignore even though it's generally accepted that Palestinians have had a raw deal for rather a long time. Net result - not just Hamas

The Hamas entry in that is an interesting read.

Yet more calls for a 2 state solution but are they serious? There are a number of problems associated with a change like that. The USA also wants to put an unpopular political party in power. Unpopular as they have achieved zero in this area.

Israel doesn't want a 2-state solution, and is working for a 1-state solution with Palestine wiped off the map and Palestinians erased.
