They certainly live on a different planet metaphorically these world leaders. As for Trump and Putin, I think he (Trump) admires Putin. Either that or Putin has something on him. Or maybe both. Trump's face certainly seems to light up for Putin more than most other leaders he meets with.

Trump certainly admires pootin strong arm tactics, and his staying in a position of power.

It wouldn't surprise me if pootin had "something" on Trump. The USA has loads on him anyway though but by staying in power he avoids the due processes

A very quick image search shows PH has a large stock of ties, a number of which he has worn on multiple occasions.

So, not neglecting the possibility of sheer "clumsiness", I'll stick with "insensitive". And that is me being generous regarding any motives PH may have had.
