This was never my area of expertise, and so....
I need a replacement thermostat, for our immersion heater. The immersion heater is vertically mounted in the cylinder, the cylinder is a normal upright type, 120L. Would that mean the immersion heater is a 36"? How long should the thermostat be, assuming a 36"? Maximum stat length appears to be 18", is that the correct one? How do the measure the 18", just the brass rod section, or the entire length?
Yes I could measure it, but taking it out, involves some major disassembly work, to access the immersion heater.
