And more from the world of political correctness

It's nothing to do with political correctness.

The doll looks nothing like the TV character is all, the TV character is brown the doll is white.

Simple really, even 5 year old kids will have spotted the difference & said "mummy, my 'Upsy Daisy' is the wrong colour".

A bit like if they made Andy Pandy dolls in Red & Green vertical striped suits.
Now there would be an even bigger outcry at that!

If it was a white doll that had became off-white, nothing would be said/done, betcha.

And any kid that whines about the shading difference needs a slap anyhow. :P

My 5 month old daughter was bought one of these dolls for Christmas. I hadn't noticed it was different to the TV character (although admittedly i'm not a avid fan of 'In the Night Garden') and i'm fairly sure she doesn't care in the slighest what shade of white/brown/black it is.

I'm not sure why they have made the doll different but i'm even less sure why it matters? And people seriously camplained about this????

It's also fatter, the skirt is different, the hair starts higher up and the eyebrows are a different colour - that's it, I'm taking mine back....
