Angle batten

Hi all, I have an angle batten in the downstairs loo. Cannot seem to find any shade or fitting that will work with it. Any clues anyone ?

Personally, I’d take that out and fit a different (surface) light of some sort.

Is this on a wall or ceiling, why is it angled?

Well, you are missing the shroud that screws over the grey threaded bit - so that will be why.

It's in a very tight space under the stairs on the wall. Space saving I guess. I do have the shroud but still can't find a suitable shade. I think you are right, get rid and start again.

Maybe a silly question, but do you necessary need any shade in an under-stairs loo? One might say that if it produces light which enables one to 'see what one is doing', that might be enough?
