Hi,

I have a 230mm angle grinder 'Powerbase Xtreme' - from homebase I think - but I can't find the manual.

I've fitted a stone cutting disc but it's wobbly and I have The Fear that the disc might fly off and remove my face.

The lock nut is as tight as it will go (and can only be tightened one side so I haven't forgotten to flip it). I've used it as a cutter before and not noticed anything odd. The grinding discs are thicker and fit firmly. Might it just be that I didn't notice the wobble before?

Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

I would NOT use it if the blade is wobbly. Those things spin faster than the speed of sound and are very dangerous if they fly off.

Please speak to the manufacturer before using again.

Good advice. I unplugged and now think that the disc looks a bit weird. I'll get a new one tomorrow and make sure it's right before I get cutting.

ok 2 things.
1 - the nut is reversible, it has a lip one side and not the other.. it's the not side that you want..
2 - the disks have different center holes.. make sure you get the one that fits your grinder.. one too big and it's off center and will wobble..
