*******s, there's plenty of walter mitty types who bang on about their 'service'. Someone waltzing Into a forum and making a bit deal about it stinks. There's plenty of people here who wore Green in the past. Are you satisfied with the explanation given above?
Will you please leave this topic alone now. Questioning somebody's military service is such a shameful thing to do. You have absolutely zero evidence.

You served have you yourself? Trust me? Have I asked you to do that or something, not sure the type of person that you are but you seem pretty ridiculous. Am I selling you something?*******s, there's plenty of walter mitty types who bang on about their 'service'. Someone waltzing Into a forum and making a bit deal about it stinks. It's the internet, you're anonymous, why should anyone trust him.

I do not understand this lying bit all the time? I cannot get my head round why anyone would think such a stupid thing. The balance of risk.
If somebody is telling the truth, then questioning and mocking them might be incredibly upsetting. A lot of ex forces find it difficult in civilian life.
If somebody is lying, then what does it matter. Life is too short.
If he's choosing to throw himself into an argument on the internet that's bad for his mental health then who am I to deny him that. The balance of risk.

If banging on about his service, real or imagined, is bad for his mental health, don't bang on about it.

I arn't, I dont really bring it up unless it is in context with a particular post, should I pretend not to have served and let you people give your opinions of what a war is like rather than hear from the horses mouth what it is really like, good lord I have heard some things. If he's choosing to throw himself into an argument on the internet that's bad for his mental health then who am I to deny him that.

It is only bad for my health when I am accused of not telling the truth, you may be used to being a liar but I most certainly am not. I have nothing to gain by giving out my military experience in a topic about the military. Just seems silly not to talk about it.If he's choosing to throw himself into an argument on the internet that's bad for his mental health then who am I to deny him that.

It's really not. It's not as if I tried to shrug off the murder of 15 paramedics as just one of those things that happens in war. That is the worst sort of victim blaming.

You are the one who called me a walter mitty because you thought the new street lights was a lie too, I posted up the pics of them and you went awfully quiet and never reurned to that thread as yopu looked rather silly. A bit like now really. If he's choosing to throw himself into an argument on the internet that's bad for his mental health then who am I to deny him that.

it is a war. Not a bloody theme park. You might be shocked and surprised at the atrocities of war but it doesn't shock me in the least. I have witnessed some horrific events. It happens all over the world. War is cruel and unfair and extremely horrific and has very few rules that anyside abides by. It brings out the worst in humanity and even the most rational of people can do the most horrendous things. It's really not. Im not seeing it. It's more likely that he's just a troll playing the victim card. And your analogy is insulting to actual victims of sexual assault. It really is victim blaming. It is like telling a woman she shouldn't wear a short skirt.
