I am going to wire two light units in parallel each unit rated at 240v 20W and having two G9 bulbs. My question is if I use a 40Wmin 400Wmax dimmer switch will this be able to cope? Ta
Well, 2 x 20 = 40, i.e. it's within the spec of the dimmer switch, so it will probably be OK. If the supply voltage dips, and therefore your total load drops below 40W, the dimmer might get upset - depends how much contingency there is in the 40W minimum. Can you use slightly brighter lamps?
