Another example of how cash strapped councils waste money

Our local city council spent millions, and wasted millions of commuters time and money, building a cycle route, all the way into the local city centre. Built alongside a main route, it took a couple of years, of causing bottlenecks to traffic before it was finished. I've yet to spot a single cyclist making use of it.

At last Exeter city council have relented and scrapped the LTN after many protests, I wonder how much it cost the council tax payers for this ****ey scheme !
 
Ha and now Newton Abbot have jumped on the LTN bandwagon, they are going against the public and traders wishes to pedestrianise Queen St one of the busiest shopping streets in town, I think that the argument was that we have got the money and have to spend it. It's not as if Newton Abbot has a lacl of pedestrian shopping streets, this will probablt do away with 200 on street parking places, so people will vote with their feet (or vehicles) and shop somewhere else, as if shops are not having a difficult time as it is, Grrrrer Idiots !!!

Exeter city council have done it again, wasted £ 500k on a feasibility stydy to make the Victoria and Albert museum and the riverside leisure centre carbon neutral, how do they do it £ 500k FFS
 
Abd hasn't the Council already completed the study and decided that the objectives cannot be met?
And wasn't the cost of the study met from a government grant?

The council has spent more than £500,000 on looking into the viability of the scheme but has concluded it would not be possible to deliver the project on time and within budget.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy awarded Exeter City Council £6.392m, with a contribution of £871,000 required from the council.
A condition of the grant was that the money had to be spent by 31 March 2025.
