Another garage question ...............

............ i'm planning on building a double garage on the side of my house, an end terrace with a small peace of ground to the side, now i'm aware the max height of a garage is 2.5m but does this still apply to a garage built on the side of a house? I would like it a bit higher if poss.
I'm going to use the garage as a worshop also, to restore a classic car so i will need a few creature comforts, i'm going to insulate the walls and ceiling, now my question is; can i run heating pipes from the house into the garage where i would like to install a large double panel radiator?

For PD I would have thought it would be classed as an extension so limited to 4m high and half the width of the house wide. I'm far from being an expert, just been reading the regs a lot recently for our own project so might be well wide of the mark
