The telegraph can reveal? Official announcements are usually more reliable. I think today is the last day for 1st jab to meet the deadline. There was a largish demo recently just briefly televised. Was all 7,000 there? Last number I heard.

Actually given the age profile the proportion of vaccinated in the NHS is likely to be higher than the general population looked at the same way.

Not good anyway - more encouragement for anti's. Anti's in the covid area are often people who think the state is stupid. It's better to assume some intelligence and wonder what they are at. It's pretty simple really. Reduce covid problems to the lowest possible level. Nothing they can do is likely to be perfect. So unless the virus changes it will always be there and it needs to change in the right way.

Omicron milder? I have wondered about what that means. If deaths in hospital reduce that can be down to no need for invasive ventilation but treatments have changed. Then there is the level of people who have been jabbed. TBH to see what Omicron really means a breakdown of cases is needed that isn't available. They do know that the jabs are less effective against it also that immunity levels last longer with one jab than another. Yet another looks good but not totally certain yet.

Omicron has changed the game. Its more infectious, but much milder and is believed to give immunity against the older, nastier strains.

When the mandatory vaccine rules for the NHS workers were introduced, Omicron didn't exist.

Now Omicron exists and we know much more about it, removing the requirement to be jabbed with the consequential loss of staff is a sensible step in my opinion.

However, that doesn't change my view that the antivax brigade are selfish idiots.
