Is there anything more effective than ant powder at killing these little blighters and their nest?

I found them in the garden last week, so I went all around the front of the house and put plenty of powder down, because i really didnt want them inside the house like they did a couple of years ago.

Anyway, during the rainy day on monday, I found a large number of ants in the corner of the living room behind the TV, most of them had wings too. I attacked them with powder again (which really ****ed off the spider that had made that corner his home). Also put plenty of powder in the electric meter cupboard, which is behind the TV too. There was a huge spider in here, he got ****ed too.

The house has solid walls and the downstairs floor is concrete. So their nest could be anywhere!

That night we found a few stray ants in random places in the living room, so we felt like they were all around us!!

Any ideas?

You need Nippon liquid, in the little tube. It is so delicious that they carry it back to the nest and share it with their friends.

Your local co-op might sell it

Far better than powder

We've got a couple of nests outside - am happy about them being outside.. but as soon as i see one inside i use the stuff JohnD mentions... put on a little slip of plastic and leave it under the cooker/settee/fridge etc... they don't come back for a while.
