That will ony kill a few that the water hits.
Ant powder they will take it home
As already stated.
Used to be a liquid called Nipon (I think) very good.

As quoted Nipon seems very good. It is available in a liquid form with ant traps (have to use this at home sometimes - little b*****s), and as a powder. Also I think that there is an instant kill spray - for when they get just too much for you :D

I think the powder is probably best as they are supposed to take it back to the nest
 
Only one way to get rid of an ant ... Blow it's bl**dy head off :LOL:

Get a 12 bore ... BabOOOOOOOOM :!:
 
Nippon Gel (comes in a toothpaste-tube sort of thing) is very effective

however

although you can try to control wildlife within your house, the rest of the world is filled with life and you are not going to kill it all (I hope).
