Hey Folks,
I have an interview tommorow at Royal Mail. I was wondering of anyone had some tips/knowledge that might help in the interview.
I've never been a postie before, but I've always fancied it, so any tips would be handy :D

P.S.

If we could keep the Postman Pat jokes to a minimum that would be nice.

mate worked there, he got the sack on the first day.

(good luck though)

Think he may have been refering to the sack full of letters that he had to deliver??

Can't believe I walked into that one

My fault, I never credited Breezer with a sense of humour

Put it down to nerves about the interview??

I can't offer any tips, but several of my friends are local postmen/women and they seem to really enjoy the job so hope it goes well! Good Luck!!

Cheers. This will be my lowest paid job since I was in my early 20's, but I really want it  Problem is, as I understand it, there is a huge number of fellow applicants, so competition will be tough :(

How`d you get on mate? I`m a Postie but only just seen this so too late to reply with owt helpful.
Love the job though, the freedom once you leave the office on delivery is great. You can work at a pace to suit you (within reason) and get loads of free time to do your own thing with lunchtime finishes.
Hope it went well for you.

thats why it takes so long to get your mail now days.
and still have the cheek to want a pay rise.

I`m lucky in that I work in an office in a mainly business area and get an earlier finish than some (earlier start as well though) my postie at home always gets to mine after I`m home.
