A daft question maybe???

But, I love the finish of the deck oil on my new deck (thanks to folks for all the advice on here  ) - Is there any reason that deck oil would be no good to do my timber window frames?

Cheers

If the windows have been previously painted or stained, then the decking oil will not do anything for them.
If the timber is raw then yes you could use it. Having said that as the name implies it has oil in it and as such you could not paint over it with anything else later. Im sure there are other more suitable stains etc that can be used.

Oil on outdoor frames always leads to black inky stains that cannot be removed as they are in the timber. Can't remember what they are called atm.
