I've just installed a splashback by the taps.
I need to add silicone around all the edges, but I'm needing some tips as the corners are a bit awkward as the cupboards are in the way and I'd like to not make a right balls up of it.

Any suggestions to reduce the impending mess I may create?
Pics attached.

Thanks in advance.

Clear polymer. I'd also go with a tiny thin amount.
Polymer can be painted so you can cut in tight to it later on with emulsion.

If you're going to use silicone then madq low tack purple tape, apply either side of where silicone will go. Create a thin exposed area to apply silicone.
Run silicone along.
Run finger along.
Pull tape which will leave a nice thin line of silicone.
Then run finger along and leave to dry. Don't mess with it..
