What I meant to ask was how far can you have a hole in the ground from the wall and still get a cistern against the wall, with typical CC pan?

And can you still get the pans with a rotating S trap base for a small sideways displacement?

usualy about 2" if you are using a standard long bent Multikwik, If you want it closer you can use a long bent with a short straight multikwik, dont know about rotating S trap pans

Pop down to your local shed with a tape measure and measure the edge to the inside of the pan connection. Add that to the pan connector and you should get your answer as we have no idea of what kind of close coupling toilet you have, they would vary a lot...

S Trap base on a pan connector? Do you mean just pan connector? How about a flexible pan connector although I detest them.

the rotating pan is a cottage pan its two piece and you make the joint with prompt cement, place in kings cross used to stock them failing that T G LYNNES if they are still about

How about doing this sort of thing with a flexy connector (grey).??
( Or even 3 elbows)
