In the final stages of planning our bathroom renovation now and planning to use Duofix frames for both a toilet & basin.
However... The instructions off their website are pathetic so I'm not 100% sure what I'll need to do to ensure the frames have secure footing. The floor in the bathroom is timber floorboards.
I intend to check that the floorboard under each frame is (a) in sound condition and (b) solidly attached to the joists, and will replace the floorboard if needed.
Provided it's all solid & in good shape though, is there any reason not to secure the frame feet directly to the floorboard?
To my mind a sound floorboard should be more than capable of taking the load, but maybe there's something I'm missing...
Thanks for any replies!
