Whats the drop from the ceiling for fan and shower isolators. Other accessories are obviously within 0.45m > 1.2m.

Also, can cable be run horizontal, socket to another close socket.

Ah right, I get you now.

It is normal for fan isolators to belocated above the bathroom door.

This does not need to be readily accesible as it is there to isolate the fan for servicing etc.

I would expect shower isolators to be mounted in the 450mm - 1200mm zone, as it would be normal for the homeowner to regularly operate this.

You can run wiring horizontally between two accesories.

Do a search for "prescribed safe zones"

regularly?

the isolator for my mom's shower is located in the airing cupboard that backs onto the shower, and has only ever been used 3 times in the past 30 years.. and that was to change a shower..

the shower isolator in my flat has never been used by me since i've lived here ( the past 2 years ) ..even though it's located on the ceiling next to the bath and the cord hangs right next to the shower curtain...

Some people have the habit of turning showers off when they're not being used, personally I don't bother with mine but hey everyones different!
... They're probably trying to save a few pennies by not having the neon light on lol!
