Aquapanel cracks

Hi,

Multiple questions.

I’ve got some Aquapanel to put on a false wall, ready to tile.

1. I’ve just noticed some small cracks running up the length of it. My gut says because the point of it is to be a water resistant membrane, the small cracks mean the board is redundant and I need to get some more - is that correct?

2. There’s a corner where it butts up to a plastered wall. Do I need to tape the corner with flexi adhesive?

Thanks

It doesn't work as a water resistant membrane unless you tank it, (with a tanking kit) the tanking will seal the cracks.

It won't deteriorate when wet like plasterboard or timber does, but it doesn't stop excessive moisture from getting through.
Unless it's in a shower cubicle or against a bath, I wouldn't worry about it.

You can just grout up to the plastered wall. Use a flexible water resistant grout.
