I've just got a quote back from an architect for a small infill extension that I wish to have built.
I have supplied dimensioned drawings of the current layout and the layout that I require in the extended area.
Total floor area of the extension will be 4m^2.
Do these fees seem about right?
Drawing and Submission Fees:
Survey & Sketches - included
Planning Submission - 425.00
Building Regulations - 475.00
Structural Calculations - not required
I can't quite get my head around the steps that are normally present for planning / building regs approval. Is it just one set of drawings with detailed bits on so that the planning and building control people can sign off and say they are happy?
Any drawbacks with filling in planning and BC forms yourself?
