Hi

I've had an extension built and have started fitting the skirting and architrave. All the walls and ceilings have been plastered and the floors tiled.

However I have found that neither the floor, the ceiling or the top of the dooways run parallel with each other. So I was wondering what line do I use for the architrave at the top of the doorway ?

Thanks in advance.

heeelllooo stevenbr and welcome :D:D:D

archatrave follows the door which follows the frame

set the archatrave back 6mm from the front edge

draw a light pencil line 6mm from the front edge all round the frame

this is a touch on the large side but allows for a bit off tinkering just in case
