Arctic Ice Cap GROWS By 60%!!!

And how long as the atmosphere been studied? a very short time in the life of this planet, maybe 50+ yrs

No a lot longer.
They can take core samples from ice and rock strata that will give them very accurate data on the make up of the atmosphere thousands of years ago.

The wooly Mammoth it is believed became extinct because of climate change, what greenhouse gasses were responsible for that produced by man?
none, the climate is forever changing and all the blots on the landscapes in the form of those blessed wind turbines will not make one iota of a difference.

A definitive explanation for their extinction has yet to be agreed upon.

They were hunted extensively by man.
The Vietnamese javan rhino were hunted to extinction a few years ago by man.

So for something that definitely happened an agreement can't be reached on why but yet something that maybe happening as a result of man is a definite, bull.

The greenhouse effect is a scientific fact. It's the level of effect that is in dispute.

Whats the time line of this supposed greenhouse effect, and how is it measured and where is it measured.

Dunno but the world keeps on getting warmer.

My opinion is man hunted the mammoth to extinction.

A thousand years from now some tabloid will probably blame climate change for the extinction of the javan rhino.

The scientific opinion on climate change is that the Earth's climate system is unequivocally warming, and it is more than 90% certain that humans are causing most of it through activities that increase concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere

Come on Joe,you haven't an answer?if you say its getting warmer then the measurement's must be on a time line of a starting point, where is this point and who decided where this point is?

In the 1960s and '70s, the consensus among the scientists was that the earth was getting cooler.

At that time, people believed it because it was promulgated by the 'experts'.

Why should we believe the experts now? In 30-years time, maybe the 'experts' will see it differently and declare that the earth is in fact cooling (again). In the meantime, we've squandered billions of ££ on useless 'green' initiatives. FFS, when will people wake up?

No it wasn't.

In the 1970s, there was increasing awareness that estimates of global temperatures showed cooling since 1945, as well as the possibility of large scale warming due to emissions of greenhouse gases. Of those scientific papers considering climate trends over the 21st century, only 10% inclined towards future cooling, while most papers predicted future warming

10% is hardly a consensus.

Why should we believe the experts now?

Well believe it or not there is actually a majority who are in agreement on the issue now.
Whether you believe them or not is up to you.

I was in secondary school at that time and our science- and geography teachers kept going on about the imminent ice-age, so it was very much mainstream at that time.

And don't believe everything you read on Google

Just like you're majority of 10% was right back in the seventies.
Baa baa baa .
