Are Howdens cabinet shelf brackets standard size?

I need to put 2 extra shelves in kitchen cabinets from Howdens.

Does anybody know if these are standard?

Take an existing one out and measure the length/diameter.

I thought about that, but that involves getting up! Might have to. The do look the same, I'd be surprised if all kitchen makers didn't use the same brackets...

they say 3mm i thought the holes where 5mm in most carcases ??
please check 3mm will probably still work as the lip is wedged between side and shelf but may rotate in use and fall out ??

Those existing pins in the OP's photo do look like 3mm.

@JP_ are the pins a good fit int the holes?

Varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Shelf pins come in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7mm diameters although 3 and 5mm seem to be the most common for kitchen work and 7mm are often the spade type used for book shelves.

I agree that the OP's look like 3mm ones. Easy enough to find on eBay

The existing ones are in pretty tight, can't see how a 5mm one would fit.

The holes are always drilled tight and the MFC used for cabinets does seem to swell marginally over time, too, so you tend to get a tight fit - you wouldn't want a loose one as the pegs would drop out. Forget about the 5mm pins that Toolstation and Screwfix sell - just get a pack of 3mm pins from Amazon (under £2!) or follow the eBay link I posted earlier on and buy a selection of sizes
