Just wondering set up key tags for everyone the only thing is I think they might be bad security. If I or the brats left keys in door or lost them someone could turn off alarm were as if you use a code they would have to know this . Just think there not really a good security thing .

I agree, the better option is the app version which I have seen for some security systems where you scan your phone atleast if that was lost or stolen the phone security would save it a bit.

I refuse to use the key fobs.
If someone steals a handbag, or picks a pocket, they have the keys to get into the house and the fob to turn off the alarm.

You may as well not have an alarm at all.

Hold on what about people with failing eyesight, Parkinson's ect , have fitted a few systems for people with some of these issues who now can use the alarm system again ....

I agree with you sparky.
People with disabilities can now use their own alarms systems.
Back in the good old days we had keys to turn the alarm off.
We carry keys to open our doors,so if you lose your keys the scum bags can will get in without breaking the window,or door to use the fobs to turn the alarm off.

I don't advise general use of prox tags or radio fobs for alarms use for this reason, however sometimes the regulations tie your hands into what you have to provide.

However as pointed out they do have a very important place for those less able.

the agility 3 has the option to use a code on a radio fob, making it more secure than many radio fobs, prox tags unfortunately have no such control at all.

But the prox tag wasn't intended for security as such, but to stop people forgetting codes and generating an alarm.

Think its time we should have biometrics built in as standard??? no codes required, no tags required?
