The bathroom (cabinets, countertop, bath surround) I've inherited from the previous owner of my house is made from MDF with a laminate over the top. The laminate is chipped and peeled in many places.
I'm not sure the age of it, but it's gotta be at least a couple of decades.
Is modern bathroom laminate material much better? Can you expect it to not peel and flake away?
