Thinking of buying a house which is in need of some redecoration work, no wall coming down or anything like that. Just a fresh interior. Things that need doing will most likely consist of removing the:

- Entire Kitchen (units, stove, flooring tiling)
- Bathroom (bath, toiler, sink, flooring, tiling)
- Toilet
- Living room (Flooring, curtains, blinds)

so basically every room would be completely bare.

Is there any logical way to do this procedure? e.g. if going to repaint the walls then do the repaint of the walls before prying up the old flooring because it wouldnt matter if paint gets on the floor anyways.

Just thought i'd see if can get any advice in advance before i start to do anything. The amount of times i've thought to myself "yeah maybe i should've done that first".

Thanks

I would do the upstairs first. Assuming bathroom is upstairs.

Then living room, then kitchen.

And do hallway/ landing last if that's needed as well.

The reason for this is that your DIY gear/paint/dirty brushes will pass through these rooms. You'll probably end up cleaning brushes in the kicthen sink, and carrying DIY items through while you're doing the other rooms.

Although I would get the electrics done before anything else if that's needed.

Get someone in, make sure to get at least 15 quotes first though.
