Are we witnessing, in real time, the collapse of the left wing.

yes it shows unemployment grew under Thatcher, Major, Cameron and dropped under Blair

yes it shows economy under Conservatives has been sh1t
are you unable to read graphs? let me help

It shows when they took office and left office. Torries came to power in 2010 - unemployment when brown left was 7.9%, when Sunal left office it was around 4%

The coalition got it down to 5%, then Cameron dropped another 1%. Sunak got it even lower for a while to 3.6% - The lowest unemployment for 25 years. Its started to rise again under labour.

unemployment rose when Thatcher won power in 1979
unemployment rose during majors govt
unemployment rose during beginning of Carmeron govt

unemployment has been low during most of the 14 years of Tory power.............but living standards have steadily fallen, wages have stagnated, public services have been destroyed

Its started to rise again under labour
unemployment now is no higher than periods of the Sunak govt -so your claim is rancid bullshoite

its hilarious you trying to defend the economic record of the Tories...........please keep it coming :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

go and check some facts

I think we're all shifting a teeny bit to the right, I don't see that as a bad thing.
That happened a long time ago, this is a slide to facism disguised as a real estate deal. How would we feel if the EU invaded and said pay us what brexhit has cost us, and we'll leave.

There is still a degree of arrogance (amongst some of the political class) about the changes we're seeing in the popularity of so-called extreme right wing parties. Rory Stewart (ex tory who doesn't even live here anymore) was on the telly box last night, talking about the rise of the right, Trump etc. He finished off his interview essentially saying folk in the west need to wake up to the path they're going down. Arrogant. No real recognition or acknowledgement as to why increasing people are voting for such parties.

On Debate Night last night (think Scottish QT) they discussed the fact John Swinney (Scotland's First Minister) is arranging an emergency summit to combat the far right and folk like Farage, who I think is due to visit Scotland soon.

A person on the panel (not a politician) got quite animated at the politicians around her, warning them if they do not wake up to peoples frustrations and do not deviate from the status quo, they will simply drive more people towards such parties.

The reason people are voting for such parties is because the right wing populists are able to spread their propaganda and lies far more effectively since social media grew.

You are a perfect example of brainwashing: you keep claiming Trump is making peoples lives better…..but you can’t say how or why or evidence to show he is

You're not very bright are you.

Pre social media, 100 people living in a commune, all of them have the walls in their dwellings painted white. Why? Because the leader tells them white is the only paint colour available.

Post social media, 100 people living in a commune, however some now have their walls painted blue, some green, some lilac and indeed some stuck with white. Why? Because the advent of social media informed them other choices were available. The leader couldn't deny this and eventually had to relent, allowing them to buy different paint colours.

Your somewhat weak assertion is that increasing numbers of people are now choosing populism etc because they're now more aware of it due to social media. Oh dear, so it would have been better if the masses didn't know of these other options?

Pathetic.

The right wing populists are spreading lies and misinformation, made easier by social media. The ill informed and gullible are falling for it. Like you.

Yes we agree the last 14 years of Tory power have been a disaster

And Labour have performed an extreme nose dive in business confidence in 8 months ……. Not sure how they plan to pull out of the huge hole we are diving further into

Not a complete disaster. Some of the UK's wealthiest Tory chums got richer, during their term. Baroness Mone for example, managed to fleece millions out of UK taxpayers, leaving the country with a huge pile of useless PPE, that taxpayers will have to pay to get rid of.

You have repeatedly said taxes should go up to fund public services

Labour have put up taxes to fund public services

Now you are moaning you don’t like what you believe in
