Hi,

I have an Ariston Aco boiler fitted last september. Since it was installed i have had a problem where if i leave the CH temp low the boiler will work for awhile and turn itself off when it reaches the correct temperature. However when it tries to re-ignite, to warm the CHW up again, it fails and gives me an error code of A07, which when i had a look in the manual just says the code means the boiler failed to ignight after 7 attempts. Anyone know what the cause of this could be? And recently the boiler has been starting to make a load humming noise when the DHW is being used and when the water is turned off the whole system will fail and the same error code will be displayed. Any help would be good. thanks.

The loud humming noise may be the fan is starting to fail. Thats probably a different problem.

The ignition failure could be due to the gas settings or even the PCB.

Since the boiler will be under the installer's guarantee as well as the manufacturer, I would suggest you call the installer to see it.

If you call the manufacturer first and the fault is as a result of poor installation it will probably be a chargeable visit. However if the installer did not do it properly he may not even be able to recognise his shortcomings.

I hope the installer was both competent and CORGI registered?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your response. Yes the installer was CORGI registered and signed off a certificate after the work was done. I will definatly call him to take a look.

Cheers.
