Ariston K - LS45/50 dishwasher

Hi all,

Our Ariston dishwasher model K - LS45/50 is kerplunk. Turns on for 10 mins or so making a healthy sound, but then stops whichever setting we put it on, without any washing done, or even the tablet released from the holder. Suspecting a blockage we've put some unblocker down it, but no luck. Any ideas anybody?
