The above system has been in service for 20 years, now after a power cut it will set but not alarm, can any one help or is it just run out of puff?
No it is not.. I am passing on information given to me by a wired system installer who I pass work onto when either wired systems need repairing or the customer wants a wired alarm. I am just reiterating exactly what I was told only two days ago in response to me passing on an identical job.so, what you're saying is, you don't actually know.
Yet more scaremongering in an attempt to push your business and dump more naff product on now worried victims.
Priceless!
Oh boy, alarm panel batteries should be replaced at a max. of 5 years, or sooner if when 'checked regularly'........... and no the batteries haven't been changed in 20 years the system hasn't mist a beat until now and it has been checked regularly to make sure it was functioning correct. i'm no mug things run out of steam i know that . is it simply a battery or new system?
